The Crew League by Community Rowing Inc. is a recreational, non-competitive rowing program designed for rowers who have completed a Learn to Row class. The program aims to further refine rowers' skills and techniques, with an emphasis on improving strength, flexibility, and mastery of the rowing technique. The curriculum highlights boat skills, safety rules of the river, and overall fitness. The Crew League operates in different seasons throughout the year. In the spring and fall, it is scheduled after-school during the week and on weekends. In the summer, a special Summer Skills Development program is offered, while in the winter, the program meets on weekends with workouts supporting strength, mobility, and flexibility. Participants should come prepared with a water bottle and clothes for both indoor and outdoor activity. As a prerequisite for participating in the Crew League, rowers should have completed a Learn to Row class. This program is primarily designed for those who wish to progress further in the sport of rowing, seeking to build on their foundational skills and techniques. The Crew League allows participants to enhance their rowing abilities, gain better body strength and flexibility, and further understand the safety rules of the river.
