By designing their own daily schedule, students are given the opportunity to participate in several performing groups and ensembles. Students may undertake more than one instrument and/or voice if desired, all for one fee! Weekly concerts and recitals provide students with frequent performance opportunities. All students are encouraged to participate in Camp Recitals that cover a range of styles and genres with various levels of complexity. Daily classes and rehearsals, individual coaching and weekly private lessons further the student’s musical experience. Concerts, workshops, master classes and recitals are also offered by professional artists throughout the summer. The faculty include professional educators, solo artists, composers and conductors. Daily supervised recreational, sports and/or social activities are also enjoyed by the students. The total experience is extremely rewarding both musically and socially. Each student selects one of the following classes that meet Monday through Saturday. Class selection may be made on Student Registration Day (check-in). Our faculty will assist you with your selection. High School credit may be earned when enrolled in the full four-week program. No audition is required to enroll. Resident students are housed in modern college dormitories (Boys’ & Girls’) on the Colgate University Campus. Most students live in double rooms, but some may be in triple rooms.
