Genius Olympiad is an international high school project competition focused on environmental issues. Organized by Terra Science and Education and hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology, it aims to promote global understanding and sustainability through disciplines such as science, arts, creative writing, engineering, design, and business development. The Olympiad provides a platform for secondary school students to showcase their abilities, inspiring them to contribute to environmental protection and improvement. Participants can engage in various disciplines, including Science, Speech, Business, Robotics, Art, Music, and Short Film, all with an environmental focus. The Olympiad encourages innovative solutions to environmental problems, raising awareness and inspiring action through diverse mediums like scientific research, persuasive speeches, artistic expressions, and more. The competition is held in-person and involves project submissions in multiple categories. High school students from around the world are eligible to participate, and the event facilitates interactions with peers from over 80 countries. The outcomes include gaining environmental consciousness, enhancing problem-solving skills, and receiving recognition through awards and certificates. Winners in the science category are encouraged to submit their research to the International Journal of High School Research for publication.
