HAR089 - Fashion Portfolio Advanced is a portfolio development course offered by the Fashion Institute of Technology that aids students in taking their fashion designs to the next level. The main objectives of this course are the creation of a small women's wear collection, the development of rendering skills, and learning the presentation formats. By the end of this course, students will be able to render their signature style on fashion-forward figures. This course is highly recommended for students considering applying to fashion colleges. The course is delivered in-person at the main campus of the Fashion Institute of Technology. The schedule is set for Saturdays, from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, with a total of 30 contact hours. The course commences in late September and concludes in mid-December. The prerequisites for this course include the completion of HAR 016. The course is eligible for high school students entering grades 9 through 12 as of the upcoming Fall semester. A specific list of required supplies for this high school workshop, including various types of pencils, erasers, tracing paper pad, colored pencils, and markers, is provided to the students. As an outcome of this course, students will have an advanced portfolio, featuring their own unique style and a small women's wear collection. This will be a significant asset for students interested in pursuing a career in fashion design or applying to fashion colleges.
