Back to database
ieSoSC focuses on advancing technology and engineering skills through design and prototyping, built around real world ‘smart city’ applications and research. Through lessons on deploying circuitry, electronics, coding, and cloud computing; using microcontrollers, sensors and other hardware for complex tasks, students learn how scientists and engineers apply fundamental knowledge to address challenges in the real world. Students will contribute to team projects they will demonstrate during final presentations. Coursework Designed to advance student knowledge of engineering, computer science, natural phenomena, and physical sciences, and to accelerate interest in STEM skills, studies, research, and careers. Through cutting-edge, hands-on curriculum and activities students learn how to use microcontrollers, sensors, and other hardware for complex tasks; deploy circuitry, electronics, coding, and cloud computing; and understand how scientists and engineers apply fundamental knowledge, STEM-based skills like machine learning and computer science, and innovative solutions to challenges in the real world. Students develop projects, demonstrations, and final presentations in a materials-rich environment.
