The New York Film Academy offers teens the life-changing opportunity to learn, practice, and perform under the guidance of Broadway-level faculty at our musical theatre summer programs. Our teen students work one-on-one with teachers whose past and present credits include regional productions, national tours, tv/film, and Broadway shows like “Hamilton,” “Wicked,”, “MJ the Musical”, “Mamma Mia,” “Chicago,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Be More Chill,’ “The Lion King,” and more! NYFA’s philosophy of learning by doing means that from the very first day campers are actively practicing and developing new skills in song interpretation, tap, ballet, jazz, and how to present themselves professionally in auditions and performance. Each student is guided to work in solo and group scenarios that point them to their highest potential, instill a sense of confidence, and allow them to shine. Teens who attend our musical theatre camps can choose between our prestigious Harvard location, where students receive incredible individualized attention in the beautiful performance space at Lowell Hall, or our New York City Campus, where our classrooms overlook the beautiful Battery Park and the Statue of Liberty. At all locations, campers are challenged in demanding classes, learn the history of musical theatre, and prepare for their final performance for friends and family.
