Catapult is an exciting summer camp experience full of science, engineering and math awesomeness, with STEM opportunities that allow high school juniors or seniors reach into robotics, or do cool things like brew biodiesel or make a machine from scratch. The program's goal is to: - Integrate and supplement your previous learning - Explore fundamental scientific and engineering principles and systems - Provide an opportunity for group living in a campus setting This nearly two-week-long summer program lets you experience college life, meet new friends, dive into cool STEM projects and basically have a blast using all the knowledge you’ve gained in 11 years of school! Students can expect: - To set up and run advanced experiments - Interaction with dedicated professors - A chance to see what engineering and the physical sciences are really all about - To use every bit of learning and ingenuity you've absorbed in 11 years of school - To have a blast the whole time you're doing it! The Catapult schedule varies from day to day and most definitely from week to week. Each morning, you will assemble in Hatfield Hall for announcements and information that will assist you throughout the day. Typically, you will be involved in the lab with your project group during the morning and afternoon sessions.  Time spent in the labs interacting with faculty on your project is the main focus of Catapult. Intramurals, guest lectures, trips to major corporations, and fun activities are all part of the Catapult experience. College credits: By completing Operation Catapult, you'll receive two hours of free elective credits if you attend Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
