Our Summer Intensives are the premiere “by-audition” Intensive program for promising young MT artists seeking top tier training towards fulfilling their Broadway goals! Study with the best of Broadway in New York City, with like-minded young performers from across the country, geared toward a showcase for NYC industry members including agents, casting directors, managers, choreographers, directors and more. In-person classes will take place at Ripley Grier Studios in the heart of midtown Manhattan! All BAA in-person Summer Sessions include: - All master classes taught by Broadway Artists - Small class sizes, work one-on-one with every Broadway Instructor - Special Guest Q&A Sessions with top Broadway Stars - Meeting like-minded peers who take their craft seriously - Choosing your own triple threat curriculum (Elective Classes in Voice, Acting, Dance) - Mentorship by a BAA student advisor starting 4-6 weeks before your Intensive Session - Working one-on-one with a BAA private coach on your showcase material - Performing in a Final Showcase for top Broadway Industry (Casting Directors, Agents, Managers). Additional optional perks include: - An optional Broadway Show Night! Discounted group rate show tickets to the most popular shows! - Optional Parent Classes in: The Business of Broadway: Strategies for helping your child succeed in the industry, Vocal Pedagogy Training for Parents, The College Audition Process, and a Parent Dance Class! (ALL Optional but included in your child’s tuition). BAA currently offers five Summer Intensives (Sessions One-Four as well as a BAA Junior Track), which are perfect for students who already have a strong technical foundation and who want to expand and refine their skills by training on an advanced level and networking with top professional industry. Hone your craft over a week of classes, coachings, and more! You will attend advanced Master Classes in your Major (Voice, Acting or Dance) and you will also choose electives per intensive to develop your “triple threat” talents! Prior to your arrival, you will work with a BAA Student Advisor who specializes in your Major and who will assist you with your preparations. As an intensive student, you will also receive a private coaching in your Major and you will participate in a special Q&A/Master Class taught by a surprise Broadway guest! The In-Person Summer Sessions One, Two, Three, and BAA Junior Track each culminate in an industry showcase where you will perform a solo piece in your Major for NYC’s top casting directors, agents and managers, and receive individual feedback!
