The SCENE High School Program offered by Arizona State University is an enriching opportunity specifically designed for 10th to 12th grade students who are contemplating a career in science or engineering. The main objective of the program is to provide students with an authentic experience of a professional scientist by granting them the chance to develop and execute an original research project, thereby fostering their understanding of scientific research and its practical applications. Delivered on-site, the program invites students to delve into the realms of scientific exploration and innovation. It has been running since 1998, and to date, it has successfully engaged more than 1,000 students from Valley high schools. The key benefit of participating in this program is the invaluable hands-on experience it provides in scientific research. Students will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct original research, which will be instrumental in their future academic and professional endeavors in the field of science or engineering.
