Think Like a Programmer is a social tech event specifically designed for Girl Scouts. The main objective of this event is to engage participants in design thinking workshops focused on finding creative and innovative solutions to community problems. Although coding is not the primary focus, the event emphasizes ideation and problem-solving skills. The event is delivered in-person, providing a hands-on experience for attendees. Participants will need to bring their own lunch and a laptop, though Chromebooks are available for those who do not have a laptop. Admission costs $60, which includes a badge, and there is financial assistance available for those who need it. Participants will work independently on projects to earn their badge, fostering individual creativity and problem-solving abilities. The event aims to instill design thinking skills, which are valuable for tackling various challenges in both community and personal projects.
