The Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program is designed for high school students in grades 9 through 12, providing them with an opportunity to explore various fields of study and experience career pathways. The program aims to empower students by offering hands-on learning experiences, robust academics, and networking opportunities with industry professionals. Through this immersive program, students can clarify their future goals and gain a deeper understanding of potential career paths. The curriculum covers a diverse range of fields, including STEM, health sciences, and business. Participants benefit from instruction by Wake Forest faculty and industry professionals, who lead the academic curriculum and provide engaging programming. The program is delivered in person, with students staying on-campus in residence halls for one week, from Sunday to Friday, during the months of June and July. This format allows for a comprehensive campus experience, including evening activities after daily academic sessions. Eligibility for the program requires students to be in good academic standing without school suspensions. The program is open to international students, though they are not eligible for need-based aid or scholarships. Participants in the Summer Immersion Program will not receive preferential treatment in Wake Forest admissions, but they will benefit from enhanced interdisciplinary thinking skills and a clearer understanding of potential career paths. All institutes are non-credit, focusing on enriching students' understanding of their chosen fields. Below is a list of courses offered this summer.
